Curtin University

Curtin University of Technology has recently expanded its presence on the Asian market by opening a new campus in Singapore.

Furthermore, the university has developed a plan for the next decade which focuses on four central issues: resources, health, sustainability and communication.

Within these issues the university is planning initiatives which aim to improve its own standing as well as the educational terms for its students.

1. In a cooperation with the Chamber of Minerals and Energy Curtin University has established a resource education provision.

2. To upgrade the situation in the Australian health sector the university is planning a innovative institute of health which will concentrate on increasing modern-age problems such as the aging population, lifestyle diseases and workforce health.

3. With a sustainable development initiative the institution will be responsive to the climate change. Part of this initiative will include a strategy for a more environmetally friendly university campus.  

4. Curtin University’s direct involvement in the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project which aims to win the world’s largest radio telescope for Western Australia points at its high commitment to the information and communication technology (ICT) sector.
